Palm Springs Engagement Session

Salima and I met “randomly” back in 2012, on a party bus to Wine Country. And by “random”, what I really mean is that I stalked Salima on Facebook, found out she was going to be on the bus and then charmed/bribed my way into an invite. I knew if I could get in the same room as her, the rest would be history. We had too much in common to not get along. We both love hip hop, we both love to eat fatty foods and most importantly, we both love dogs.

Since the day that we met, I knew she was the one for me. The chemistry was undeniable and getting to know each other was seamless. After the first few years of dating, we decided to move in together. A few months later, we decided to get a dog together. And a year after that, we decided to move to L.A. together. Each milestone has represented a new chapter in our lives and there’s no one I’d rather flip the pages with than her.

At this point it had been almost 4 years of dating and I knew it was time to finish the preamble to this book. I returned to the scene of the crime, Wine Country, and popped the question and, she said YES! The rest of the book still needs to be written but something tells me I won’t be able to put it down!

After the engagement, the first thing Salima and I discussed was finding a photographer that we connected with. We wanted someone who had a similar aesthetic to us and was easy to work with. We are SO glad to have met Braja, she made our engagement shoot so much fun and way less awkward than it should have been (haha). We loved working with her so much. Thank you Braja for everything and we can’t wait for you to capture our big day!
