Jessica and Rahul’s fusion wedding

We met 10 years ago through a mutual friend at a Hookah Bar. We were good friends at first, and then started dating. Things didn’t work out the first time around, but we remained friends. After we both dated around, we realized that we had everything we wanted in front of us the whole time. We started dating again a few years ago, and things have been perfect ever since! The surprise proposal was in 2016 in front of the Taj Mahal.

We were pretty set on Terrace on The Park from the beginning, since we were both born and raised in Flushing, Queens. We wanted a great venue with a nice view, that was convenient for all our family and friends. We then decided to keep the hometown theme throughout, and had both ceremonies in Flushing as well.

We originally considered having a small, courthouse wedding, but then decided we should go all out, and have both a Hindu and Catholic ceremony (both on the same day!). We couldn’t be happier with our decision! Everything about our day was amazing! It all turned out better than we could have ever imagined!
