Callaway Gable – The Wedding of Zil and Neil

It is always interesting to us to get the prospective of a wedding from the planner’s point of view. We love hearing the design process and their thoughts of the day. We asked Exquisite Events to give us their insight into the wedding of Zil and Neil that they planned and designed to perfection.

“We were so excited to design and plan Zil and Neil’s wedding. We had done Neil’s sisters wedding in Northern California a few years prior and became so fond of the family that we couldn’t wait to begin the process. Gil’s family is from Southern California and Neil’s family is from the North so we had the ceremony and reception at the Monarch Beach Resort in Orange County and then did a reception in Northern California the following week for Neil’s family.

The ceremony was outdoors overlooking the ocean. The baraat was incredible because Neil made his entrance on a horse with about 75 family and friends accompanied by droll players and dancers.

We wanted to keep the ceremony decor very etherial and open to showcase the surroundings. The colors were blushes, creams and golds which complemented the greenery and the ocean backdrop.

For the reception we wanted to do something very romantic. The couple chose to name the guest tables with their favorite restaurants and sentimental places that were a part of their journey together. The ballroom was draped in ivory and had seating that was a mixture of long and round tables which had hanging floral chandeliers to add interest and texture to the space.

Everyone danced the night away and enjoyed a delicious Indian feast and elaborate dessert display with a live churro station.” – Exquisite Events
