Wedding of Aditi and Shubham

Destination weddings in India are so beautiful filled with color and history. Today we take you on a journey to Udaipur for the wedding of Aditi and Shubham. Being childhood sweetheart Aditi and Shubham met at a coaching institute in tenth grade. Since meeting together they have launched multiple businesses, including a popular fashion retail website. Aditi had always wanted a wedding in Udaipur and Shubham decided to fulfill her dream. They held their wedding at the Leela Palace for 150 guests over two super fun days. Aditi wanted something minimal and dramatic, says their planner Devika Narain. They were inspired from the Guava gardens in The Leela Palace. They chose elements that are commonly seen in the gardens such as parrots, guavas, white flowers and pomegranates. The outer courtyard is one of the most spectacular venues in Udaipur it has the entire Pichola lake as a backdrop and has stellar views of the Lake Palace, City Palace and Jagmandir. This is where the wedding took place. They did not want to take away the beauty of the space so splashes of marsala red were added into the space. The mandap was in the centre of the waterbody, draped in red and the entire ceiling was covered with rajnigandha. The décor for the Reception was classic, simple and elegant. Five thousand candles were hung from the trees of the garden at varying heights.
