So much goes into the planning and design of your wedding length. Should it be traditional red or a soft pastel? Should there be a lot of beading and embroidery or should it be simple? These are some of the questions that every bride asks herself when deciding on that perfect lengha.
Designer Shloka Khialani dressed influencer Sheefa Gilani and shared with us some of the process they went thru to design her perfect wedding day look.
Sheefa was looking for something understated, elegant and versatile. One of her more specific requests being to seek repeated wearability from her bridal outfit in the future. Her personality (being so striking already), enabled us to create a lehenga that was literally not embellished. Keeping in mind that her function was a small ceremony which took place in Mumbai with only close family and friends in attendance; we opted to work with a rich raw silk in a gorgeous shade of red with loads of cancan. We then incorporated our label’s classic self embellishment onto a modest sheer blouse and two soft tulle embellished dupattas. Not only did Sheefa make for the epitome of a modern day, unconventional bride – she looked like nothing less than a dream!
