Vijay, being a lawyer from Chile and Pirtya who is a doctor specializing in psychiatry from New York met in Canada. After multiple trips to New York Vijay knew Pirtya was the one. Being a whole continent apart, everyone close to them still doesn’t know how these two came to be. Vijay would come to New York to visit Pirtya every 15-20 days for 2 years…talk about dedication. Pirtya describes it as being at the right place, at the right time. It was destiny. Their whole love story is based on the theme of international love, and so was their wedding.

He proposed to her in Singapore (yet another international destination). It only made sense that they choose another international destination for their wedding, so they chose the beautiful and sunny Barcelona, Spain where guests came from all over the world.
