The project, “Mehndi Dreams: The Sister Trio,” was conceptualized and designed by Tulsi Films. Tulsi, the lead photographer and content creator, drew inspiration from her own experiences as a henna artist to create a group photoshoot celebrating sisterhood. Traditionally, during pre-wedding events, the bride spends cherished moments with her sisters who tend to her, whether feeding her, sipping champagne, or twirling around together. While some believe the bride should be the main focus, this photoshoot shines a spotlight on the bond of sisterhood. It underscores the emotional journey of siblings, highlighting the often overlooked process of giving away a sister.
Behind the Scenes: Tulsi assembled a talented dream team and granted the HMUA artists creative freedom to design looks and styles for the models. The models wore lehengas from Frontier Heritage’s spring collection. Artistry by Denise and Makeup by Shazz crafted stunning looks for this spring shoot.
- Shazz (Makeup by Shazz) designed a “Pretty in Pink” floral look for her muse, Yogini Patel, creating a romantic ambiance.
- Denise Perez (Artistry by Denise), who also modeled in the shoot, created a “Lavender Love” look for Sanjana Sinha, inspired by current American spring fashion trends. Denise’s assistant worked on her makeup while Shazz styled her hair, resulting in a soft “Sage Beauty” look.
Venue and Decor: Rabheya from Calieventor impeccably executed Tulsi’s vision at The Fig House. Using beautiful florals and vibrant decor, Tulsi focused on gorgeous tassels and lanterns hanging from a tree, adding a natural and elegant touch to the setup. The Fig House LA, with its vibrant and colorful ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop, fulfilling all of Tulsi’s requirements for the spring project.
Coordination and Planning: This project was brought to life with the invaluable help of Events by Nazzy. Lead planner Nasreen played a crucial role in venue scouting and coordinating the project, ensuring everything came together seamlessly.
