New Tulum collection by Mani Jassal

The inspiration for the Tulum collection came into fruition when designer, Mani Jassal travelled to Tulum, Mexico in March with her now fiancé Hark. Little did she know that on this trip, she would have her fairy tale proposal, underneath the starry Tulum sky, and above the Tulum Jungle. It was the perfectly personalized and intimate and she just so happened to be wearing a new light weight linen outfit she had designed before the trip. This would be the first outfit that would be a part of the Tulum Collection. It was a digitally printed linen skirt with water coloured paintings of ranunculus flowers. The top is an asymmetrical one shoulder top with matching layers of linen flounce, making it the perfect about of feminine and flirty. It was the perfect Proposal Outfit.

The Tulum collection is a continuation of last season’s With Love collection. With Love was a love letter to Hark, and now this collection is inspired by her engagement. The collection takes inspiration from the eclectic and boho aesthetic of the city, the beautiful beaches, the tropical jungles, and the over all romantic feels the city gave.

The Tulum collection is an evening wear collection consisting of 40 looks. It is versatile , making it perfect for women to wear attending destination weddings, or just simply mixing and matching key pieces into their every day wardrobes. The collection is boho and eclectic, with hints of fairy tale. It consists of light weight fabrics such as linen, cottons and organzas. The colours are soft and earthy mirroring the colour tones in Tulum . Sage greens and blush pinks are colours that appear in almost all outfits, harmonizing the collection. Staying true the MANI JASSAL brand, the original bustier silhouettes are revamped with criss-cross details on necklines along with backless bikini tie closures. Matching duster, bustier and trouser sets have been introduced to the collections as options for pre wedding events or even just for a pool party in Miami. Mirror work is key in this collection as it has become signature.

Staying true to the personalized aspect of the collection, instead of previewing the collection at a fashion show this season, Mani decided to do a preview launch of the collection at her own engagement party to see her party CLICK HERE. She had her bridesmaids wear new Tulum pieces to show the collection on women in a real setting . It’s important to show the collection in a real context. While collections look beautiful on models walking down the runway, this was done to empower women of all sizes to wear the pieces.

The collection will be launching online at www.manijassal.com and on instagram @manikjassal. Women all over the world can shop the collection. The collection consists of ready to purchase pieces along with made to order pieces.
