Love takes flight

Trushti and Nikhil met as she was flying to California to see her sister for the holidays.  He is a pilot and his job requires him to have long hours and travel across the United States.  Her mom thought they would be the perfect pair as she loves to travel so her mom introduced the two of them and the rest is history.

Their wedding took place in New Jersey with an outdoor reception full of florals.  Due to Covid the bride shopped for everything online as she was not able to go to India. She shopped for all outfits, jewelry , and any minor accessories online. She tried on her wedding and reception outfit for the first time two weeks before the wedding date.

Proposal Story from the Bride – “Best proposal ever, he was going to take me around New York city in those small planes and he was going to fly. That morning he made some excuse and he told me to go, I didn’t want to go without him but he was adamant. His friend was going to take me around now, we were doing the pre-checks on the runway, and suddenly I saw him . I got happy thinking that he is coming with me now. All of a sudden I heard bollywood music and he was bending on one knee, I came out and I saw all my friends, my sister and everyone standing in the back with the will you marry me sign. It started raining when I said yes.”
