We envisioned our wedding weekend to encompass several different events, each with a unique vibe and venue, and given our love for travel we wanted to have a destination wedding while still making it reasonable for all of our friends and family to attend. After lots of searching, it turns out that this was all possible in our own backyard – Tampa/Clearwater.
Our celebrations started off in Tampa with Mehndi night in our high rise club room, followed by Grah Shanti and Pithi on our sunny pool deck, where Pavan took a quick dip. Then we moved to Clearwater for our mela-themed sangeet and garba night filled with singing, dancing and savory Indian street-food. Our wedding day started with a dhamakedar dholi-led baraat followed by a royal wedding ceremony on the beach with Shirali entering on a golden doli carried by her closest brothers and uncles. The weekend was then topped off by a regal night “under the stars” with all of our friends and family dressed in their nicest suits and gowns. It was the most memorable of weekends, and it couldn’t have happened without the support of all of loved ones and the hard work of the best in the business.
