A New York kind of love

New York is a city full of possibilities and endless dreams. When Amit and Martin first got engaged they knew that they wanted to have the wedding of their dreams. They brought in the planning team from SJS Events to help them turn their dreams into a reality.

The first step was planning on a location for their wedding. Since they both love the city of New York there was nothing better than to hold their wedding in the city they love so much. They decided to hold their wedding events at the Cipriani Wall Street and Andaz Wall Street.

Fashion played a big role in their wedding as they both wore custom Tarun Tahiliani. Martin wearing blue and gold while Amit wore purple and gold and touched off their outfits with Salvatore Ferragamo and Christian Louboutin shoes.

One of the most memorable moments from their wedding is when both Amit and Martin rode white horses down the city streets, blocking off traffic for their epic baraat. Guests from both sides took in the fun of singing, dancing and holding colorful smoke in their hands to light up the baraat path. Onlookers were in awe of such a magnificent baraat.

Once the baraat was completed all of their guests entered a fantasy of a wedding with tones of purples, blues and golds, which matched perfectly to their Indian outfits. The entrance to their wedding was draped in purple silk with a purple floral arrangement cascading to the ground, as an aisle of candles lit the way for their guests. Two larger than life trees covered in flowers were the center piece for their wedding vows. They fist held a Hindu wedding ceremony and then quickly changed into Tom Ford tuxedos for their Christian ceremony. As they were reciting their vows to one another everyone in the room could feel the love between the two. Seeing two cultures come together in such a spectacular way was truly a joy to behold.
