Treetop Indian engagement session in the snow
Nikhil and I met in the unlikeliness of circumstances in our hometown of Dallas TX. In late 2015, exactly one week before Nikhil would fly 2,000 miles across the country. I was having dinner with a good college friend and he randomly mentioned that it was a shame that he never set me up with his high school friend. About an hour later we coincidently ran into Nikhil as he was celebrating accepting his new job in Seattle.
Nikhil moved across the country the following week and we began our two year long distance journey before we got married in Dallas last April. Throughout our long distance relationship we spent our weekends together exploring, hiking and enjoying the natural beauty in the Pacific Northwest. We wanted to do an engagement shoot to capture the essence of those adventures and portray our lives together in Seattle. Ushna braved the freezing rain and deep snow with us to perfectly capture our vision. As part of our shoot we explored two locations; Tree House Point in Issaquah and Gold Creek Pond in Snoqualmie. Our final shoot culminated in Nikhil and I reading our letters aloud to each other, and despite the frigid temperatures, it was well worth the adventure.
